I'm a kickstarter backer and should be getting my SmartRemote soon. Originally I had planned on using my rpi 4 for myServer6, but of course it died the other day. So now I'm contemplating if I should just run it on my windows HTPC that is always running. That brought up a couple of questions.
- Can we download other builds(rpi/windows/linux) of myServer6 or where do we get the images for myServer6?
- Is it a simple process to move from say an rpi install to windows?

We do not recommend Windows.
All effort is on Linux / RaspberryOS.
there are a couple of myServer 4 users that want to use Windows but you will be loosing out on features.
All of the systems we sell today are off of Windows.
Linux is much more stable.

I can certainly install linux on my setup but I guess I would like to understand if what you really mean is Linux on a raspberry pi or any linux distro? Are there features that would be missing by not running on a raspberry pi?

We do not officially support installing on your own configured OS. What package did you purchase? USB? That should be plugged into your own Raspberry PI 4 4/8 gig. Or a Pi 5 as well.

Yeah, I ordered the USB. As I mentioned in the original post I had planned on using my rpi 4 but it died recently. So instead of buying a new one I thought I'd use other hardware I have lying around. Originally you said this would run on windows/linux but I see that's not really the case anymore.

windows and linux do work.
We are giving you a good push hint that you should use a Raspberry Pi.
but if you really want Windows (like a couple of others), then that is possible.
