Yes, you are correct.  It WILL work.
but officially Allonis doesn't support this custom installation because there are always issues that require experience to figure out.
The good news is that there are several forum members that have done similar that might be able to assist.

Adding to a system running HomeAssistant might have shared web port 80s.  You will have to change the port one of the two systems is using so you don't have two webservers running on same IP.  Whichever system will be hosting the user interface should remain on port 80.  Likely myServer.

This has very little to do with myServer proper as we know that it will run on all sorts of installations. I was the first one to have myServer running on an intel based Proxmox installation in a virtual machine. Had to do nothing fancy! Just worked. Before that, I too had Home Assistant in a docker container running along with myServer, but on a RPI…

The key is to have all of the base components there. Something is missing…. Could be all sort of stuff including firmware/drivers/and the like.

Debian on one system is not 100% alike on another system as neither system has identical hardware, firmware, supporting drivers, etc etc etc. If they did, then they both would be RPI’s, right?

Your call: You can keep engineering and spend your valuable time, or you can get an RPI and have it working in a very short time. Perhaps, you can even use a RPI as a reference as part of your engineering to confirm that your approach is working.

I managed to get it working with debian 12 on windows wsl
When I run on my debian on odroid there is no error indicating missing software.

I bought a new, more powerful Odroid to install everything on the same hardware. I don't want to spend on an RPI.

Like I said before, this has very little to do with myServer as a product. Keep in mind that you are not following our recommendations, we embrace your wants and needs to be the first one to go down a new engineering leg. We have given you the information that we have that has worked for others as well. You have proven that our documentation works when you had it runnng on different hardware than the ODROID. The main difference is the hardware.

Being the first one down a path can be frustrating and time consuming. Be patient, you will get it sooner or later.

Unfortunately, we can not help you as we do not have the background and experience to help you with this hardware since I do not have one of these ODROID’s.
