It's for my Lyrion music server. They have a pretty good built-in web UI and I wanted to use it for Spotify since my Heos doesn't support native control, only Spotify Connect.
I did finally get it to work this morning but I'm not 100% sure what the fix was. The last things I did was "update project" in designer and then clear my browser cache.

Good news.
What features can you do within Lyrion web that you can't do via Allonis's HEOS webpage that controls Spotify app on the HEOS?
Can you post a screen shot of what Lyrion looks like within the myServer frame?
Will the UI work within the SmartRemote? That would be very suprising.
Can you use both the HEOS and Lyrion at same time? Same Spotify account?

I've attached a couple of screenshots
I'm not aware or Heos being able to control Spotify natively. I've never seen it done before. I've only been able to get it to work as a Spotify Connect. Do you have an example that I can see?

As an update, I tried to add Spotify to our test system and you are right - bad experience due to Spotify's Connect design.
Can you provide more details on your Lyrion setup? So, you have a NAS? and the Lyrion app (running on what platform - Windows? Pi?) connects to the NAS. And Spotify "plugin" is added to Lyrion? Can you provide a link to that? And then Lyrion webserver allows for the picture you attached in last message?
Personally, I use Pandora service exposed to HEOS which has support by the HEOS driver within myServer. Good experience.
