How to use slider component ? was created by Fattykidd
I'm trying to use a few slider components in my lighting overlays.
I've entered the {{lighting-##-level}} variable copied from the driver into the variable section of the slider properties.
It doesn't seem to update correctly and I can't get control of the lighting units themselves using this component.
Some guidance would be appreciated. I can use different level values in buttons to control the lights so it's definitely a user problem.

If you are using the range slider try formatting the command as "Lighting|##~level~{{value}}"
Put this in the server command box at the bottom of the Slider Styling tab. Change the ## to whatever the device id is of the light you are trying to control.

Thank you Nillaz. This worked. Really appreciate it. I was missing the {{value}} part of the command. If you are using the range slider try formatting the command as "Lighting|##~level~{{value}}"

Good strategy is to see how Allonis's templates have been configured (like the Volume slider). Then, reverse engineer that, and employ the lessons learned in your own template / page. You can even copy an object from "Moonlight" and paste it into your own custom project. Edit from there for the variables / fonts / colors / size you want once you get it working.
