Is there a native or containerized way to run myDesigner on unix/mac? I know this is possible using parallels, but before I get parallels I wanted to check and see if there are other recommendations.

myDesigner 6 runs on Windows only.
It might be possible in Parallels or other, but that hasn't been tested and isn't supported by Allonis.
Ultimately myDesigner functionality will be brought directly into myServer via a web server / browser...but that's a lot of work and no promises on when that would be available.
So for now, get a used Windows laptop and get it running is the recommendation. Once it's on a browser, sell the laptop

Mac Book Pro?
Using what virtualization? Parallels?
did you have to setup anything special?
Ports? File shares?

I am using the newer M1 Max chipset MacBook Pro with Parallels having an instance of Windows 11 Professional installed.
If I recall correctly, the only issue I had once I set up My designer 6 correctly was that I got an error to the effect of “… unable to create (wwwroot) folder…”
I believe I resolved this by running gpedit.msc to enable folder creation permissions and all was well.
If you like you could remote into my system to see how I have it configured.
