Zwave hardware suggestions? was created by Nillaz
I'm considering adding Zwave for plugs but have never used it before. Can anyone make some suggestions on a suitable hub and smartplugs for use with myServer6?

First decision is GPIO or USB. USB is generally external of a case so might be better reception.
Second decision is easier - get an 8th gen radio
myServer currently uses the JSUI-ZWave software library which seems to be best in industry and supports a lot of radios as it talks direct serial to the same chip that all ZWave radios use.
Zooz is just one.
I am using a ZWay Gen 8 GPIO right now.

Thanks David. I was just looking at Zooz and reading about the 800 series and will go this route.
Final question: I can run either the USB or GPIO board directly on my myServer or do I need to use a dedicated rpi for this? It's not a big deal either way I just need to know if I need to pick up a new Pi.

You can do either.
Get a new Pi / ZWave stick if your myServer is not in the center of the ZWave world (for RF purposes)

I ordered the Zooz GPIO board and a bunch of Shelly plugs. I appreciate the guidance! You can do either.

Shelly doesn't use ZWave...but there is a Shelly driver that talks to it via Wifi so you should be fine. If your Shelly device isn't fully working, we will need a log file to add support for the function / device you added.
