Cinemar in the news (WinXP News):
WinXP as Terminal Server
One of the nicest new features of Windows XP is that it can function as a mini terminal server via Remote Desktop. You can connect from another PC over the network and use all the programs and data on the XP machine. However, only one remote connection at a time is allowed. If you want to allow multiple computers to do this, you need Windows 2000 or 2003 server - products that cost well over $1000. Now there is a more cost effective alternative for those who only need a few remote connections (but more than one).
It's called Cinemar, and a 3 user license costs $299, considerably less than a Windows server. Additional user licenses cost $99 each, so in a big business environment where you need to allow hundreds of remote connections, Windows server is preferable. But if you have a small businesses or sophisticated home users whose needs are somewhere in the middle, check it out here:
Well, if they only knew that Cinemar was a distributor not the author of the ThinSoft software.
