Cannot connect from myui app

I am not able to connect though the app after a tablet restore. I can connect though the browser. Tried to manual configure still will not connect.

Discovery will only work if UDP networking is available through your firewall(s).
You should be able to manually configure the network.
Make sure your firewall is setup to pass the required ports.

Ok, This is strange. I never thought to check the port forward on the router, I have set that up a long time ago.
I just checked and all the ports I opened for the server are gone. The other strange thing is some of my tablets I set up have no trouble connecting.

What ports should I make sure are opened? I still cant connect any new tablets. All of my other tables that were working are fine. I just cant add any new ones, I have tried 3 different. even if I set the tablet up manually.

Ports
TCP - 80 (or whatever you server web server is listening on)
TCP - 8181 for web sockets
TCP - 6246 for legacy image urls

Can you open the app from the browser on the device?

It shouldn't make any difference, but what is the Android version?

Did you try to uninstall / reinstall myUI.apk?
Are you using the latest apk?
Download it again, just in case.

But, none of that should really make a difference.

Typo in the server path?

Lost another tablet, will not connect through the app. Samsung Tab 4, also Samsung 8 plus. and Fire HD 8. all worked from the app. before this happen.
I do see in myserver that it shows web client remains connected for that ip address, but does does not show web socket connected.
In the app i'm not see any appliclentions to select. All can connect from the browser.

We assume you are using the latest myServer (not MLServer).
We assume you have the latest apk on all Android devices.

So, there are no known issues with the latest apk talking to the latest myServer.

Since this is affecting multiple devices, it still points to networking problems.
but, you say you can connect via those same device browsers which would eliminate network issues.

Can you put Teamviewer for Android on one of the bad devices and send us the TV user ID / password?
Also, send the TV info for myServer PC.

What path are you using for the Android devices? I see you are not using port 80. Are you using :<<your custom port>> in the path?
The Android TV didnt' work.

I changed the port to see if port 80 was the problem. I can change it back. to 80

The problem seems with the tablet itself.
Can you reboot it to see if it cleans itself up?
Are you running any new software on it?
What version of Android is on it?

I have used Android 9 and lower today and all working fine with myUI app.
Reinstall the latest apk just to rule that out.

Ok, found some time to get back to this. On my Samsung galaxy tab 4 7.0 running android 4.4.2. This tablet worked previously. I reset it to factory settings. I made sure it was up to date. I downloaded a fresh version of the UIapp and installed on the tablet. Same problem. discovery not finding myserver. I tried to configure manually but not sure I an doing it correctly.

4.4.2 should be supported. But that's as old as myUI goes.
