Upgrading from mlserver3 with different dir

Mon May 20, 2019 3:38 pm

My old dir. is not C:\Program Files (x86)\Cinemar\MLServer\MLServer.exe but C:\Program Files\MLServer\MLServer.exe. How big of a problem will this cause improting my old settings?

The settings are in the database, not in the file structure.

Are you on ML3 or 4? There is no auto upgrade from ML3. There is a database import from ML4 only.

It's a new server/machine running server 2016. That should work right?

It should work. FYI, there is no reason to use Server 2016. Windows 10 is ideal. You shouldn't be using this box for anything but myServer for best reliability.

Oh yes, I need my emails to work so I need Server / Exchange 2016. I'm replacing SBS 2003.I do not want to have 2 servers running if one machine can do it all. I have not received any software in my downloads under my account after purchasing the ugrades?

Download and install myInstaller. That is how the software is distributed. You won't get any products in your downloads folder. You will receive an email with your license keys.

Hard drive space is cheap. Your time to migrate to a larger drive later is worth more.
Image cache consumes most of the room.
Yes, recommended is 100gig.
