SQL Server Won't Start

Thu Dec 28, 2017 2:33 pm

Rebuilt my entire system top to bottom and now re-installing my allonis software.

Can't get the SQL Software to start during the installation process. Tries to install and the repeatedly says "Waiting for SQL Server to start" then "error at line #1697."

Help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Chris

http://allonis.com/template-features/pr ... ation.html

There is info towards the bottom of that doc.

Sounds like you have a non typical windows install / OS.

Do you have .NET installed?

Please make sure all your Windows 7 updates have happened and the you have installed .NET 4.5.2. .NET 4.5.2 is on all Windows 10 PCs but it is an optional component on Windows 7.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the responses. ,NET 4.7 was on the machine before I began the Allonis installation. For grins I downloaded and installed .NET 4.5.2 but the SQL server still won't complete the installation. I then downloaded and installed all of the Windows 7 updates. And I mean all of them. Something like 2 important updates and 57 optional updates. The server still won't complete the installation.

Line 11 on the My Server install docs says "The installer will automatically download SQL Server correct version for your system (64 bit vs. 32 bit)"
It doesn't look like it's doing that. It looks like it's downloading "SQL Server 64 bit" even though I have a 32 bit Windows 7 rig. Then in the Event field of the installer a message appears " SQL Server 64 bit component will be installed. Downloadable version in MyInstaller is 5.0.6488.28388.

Looks like there's a 32 bit version way at the bottom of the installation tool for tech use only. I downloaded it but didn't play with it much from there. Sending you guys a PM with Teamviewer ID. If you can remote in and help complete the install it would be appreciated.

Thanks, Chris
