Upgrade from ML4 to myServer - directory location

Fri Dec 16, 2016 9:59 am

As part of the ML4 to myServer upgrade steps, it mentions that MLServer should be installed in the default directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Cinemar\MLServer\MLServer.exe).

I have my version of ML4 installed on a different drive and directory. Will that prevent any portion of the upgrade process not to work? Or are there some manual steps that I can do to help with anything that doesn't work?

Thanks

Not having the V4 MLServer installed in its default folder might confuse the Data Migration component of the SQL Server 2014 installer. Please make sure that the V4MLServer share points to the correct V4 install folder. If it does you should be ok to go. If not create a V4MLServer share that points to your install folder.
