HomeSeer Driver help.

Thu May 21, 2020 11:30 am

Hello there,

I need your kind help with the HS driver configuration. Just sent the configuration tech support mail.

I do have the BLML2HS plugin but I need two kind of devices to be recognized as lighting devices to be able to use them on the Scheduler:

Aeotec ZW096-A02 smart plug 6
Shelly 2.5PM (has two relays)
Shelly 1PM (has only one)

The thing is, I tried the raZberry thing and the range is worst than awful. I'm in a 1700sq ft flat and it will only work up to about 10 linear direct sight without failing. Farther than that it will start to fail BIG time, something I don't experience from the HS SmartStick+ on the HS.

If any naming convention for the switches would help, I'd be glad to change it at once on the HS side if that makes it easier for the driver to recognize the devices.

Thanks in advance!

I am working remotely for the next few days and do not have any access to the V5 software masters as my V5 development machine is powered off and locked up. So I cannot look at the HS driver until I'm back in my house next Wednesday. Also, I cannot get the email that the driver sends out with your configuration because GMail won't let the attachment through. So a resolution will be on hold until next week.

Curious, was the Razberry in a metal enclosure?

And was the Razberry V1 or V2? The antenna is much better on V2. V1 looked like a rectangle. V2 a larger square.

That one should work fine. It's a V2. So, put it in a plastic box and it should be good to go.

Thanks David,

It was in an original RPi white and red plastic case, I even tried it without the top part without success... I turned it off a couple of days ago. I'll try in the new home in some months to see if it's particular range improves or maybe I'll buy a second one test, maybe this one is in bad shape...

And of course you have the ZWay software configured for the right country frequency and the Raz hardware is correct for the country as well...
