V4 HAI Driver Issues

Tue May 20, 2014 6:24 pm

I just did a fresh install of everything and I'm having issues getting the family manager to populate. Specifically my thermostats and lighting. Lighting is Zwave (Vizia RF) along with a couple of UPB devices. Logs contain the following-

Unit errors:
GetFamilyID Error at GetFamilyID at line #771 - Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
AddUnit Error at AddUnit at line #1994 - Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Zone errors:
AddZone Error trying to read HAC.Zones(4).ZoneType
AddZone Error at AddZone at line #1745 - Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Events are coming in and variables are being created (all the units are prefixed with an "_" though). I've tried re-installing MLS and the driver but haven't had any luck.

OmniPro II 3.12
MLS v4.0.5252.18174
HAI v4.0.5237.20791

Been away from MainLobby but I'd really like to come back to it.

Thanks

The current HAI driver does not know how to process all the zWave devices coming from HAI. I will have to schedule some time to remote into your system so that I can update and test the driver so that it adds support for those devices.

Well, it's been a while but I figured I'd circle back to see how the HAI driver has matured. Has any progress been made regarding recognizing Zwave devices?

Thanks

Nothing has changed. I have no way of seeing what a z-Wave device looks like on an HAI controller here. In order to add support for them (if possible) I will have to spend time remoted into a system with HAI and ZWave devices and see what the driver discovers.

Dave, I can certainly give you access to my system for testing and development. The Omni is the "heart" of my system and I would like nothing more than to see the driver fully functional so I can return to using ML and recommend it to my clients.

I just installed a fresh Windows 2012 VM on ESXi 6 to play with Elve and CQC (both of which I wasn't crazy about). I can configure this VM for you, or setup another. Alternatively, I can import a VM image of your own too. Just give me a heads up if you're going to turn on a light or something so as not to freak out the wife.

Thanks,
