I'm working on an update to the driver. It will be released shortly.

Dave

I have moved from the legacy Russound Driver to this new one for my CAV6.6 and I am seeing some strange operation.
I have 3 automation rules which are triggered based on the following:

whenever av_1_zone_1_power = 1
whenever av_1_zone_1_source changes value
whenever av_1_zone_1_power = 0

These work fine when using the uno keypad I think this is because they are triggered one at a time for example power on the zone, then change the source etc all with a few seconds between each event.

However when I use my harmony remote which sends uno power on and source change via ir in secession I am seeing the following
1. Sometimes (rarely) it works, the power automation rule is triggered then the source change rule is triggered.
2. Sometimes only the power on rule is triggered and the source change rule does not get fired even though I see the source change event in the Russound log
3. Sometimes only the source change rule is triggered and the power rule does not get fired even though I see the power change event in the Russound log
4. Sometimes the source change rule is triggered before the power rule even though in the Russound log the power event can be seen to occur first.

When using ir to change just the source this triggers the rule fine as does just sending power on or off, so I do think its an issue in either the driver receiving events in rapid succession or the automation rule detecting when variables change.

Any Idea what could be happening here, the old driver worked fine the only thing to change in my setup is using the new driver. Im happy to send the logs if required

Thanks

Stephen

Today's update should resolve the volume reporting issue, the messaging to one key pad and addresses the ST tuner issues. I did find one problem with the ST SetFreq command however I cannot test those commands here. Let's see how many things today's update resolves and then work from there.

I had some time tonight to check it out and the volume control is resolved. THANK YOU!!!

I will have to wait till tomorrow to test the tuner controls. I will post once I've had a chance to toggle the tuner back over to the new plugin and test it out.

Working on retooling my AM/FM and XM scenes but it looks like everything is working with the ST2. I ran through the various commands in the command builder and everything seems to be responding exactly as you would expect it to.

Once I get the scenes rebuilt over the weekend with commands and variables I'll post again.

Thanks VERY much!

Keypad buttons still don't work on my MCA-C3 (using MDK-C6 keypads). Same issue as before. Here is a log of me pressing "Previous", "Next", "Pause", "Volume Up", then "Volume Down" on the keypad.. it appears that the volume buttons are OK, but nothing else works.

Today's update should pick up those three display message events as keypress events.

Re: Russound Driver Released

I finished updating my scenes last night and everything seems to be working as expected. Two minor things missing and one "would be nice" request:

1) Scan doesn't seem to work for AM/FM
2) Seek doesn't seem to work for AM/FM
3) Lack of leading zero padding for channel causes ST2 XM to tune slowly.

Explanation for the 3rd:
The ST2 wants to see three digits for the channel. If you enter a single or double digit channel it will wait for additonal input. If nothing else is entered it will tune the channel as requested. The difference between tuning 008 and 8 is around six seconds.

I tried prepending zeros by tuning 0 0 <channel> but this fails as the XM tuner in the ST2 tunes immediately upon receipt of 3 characters.

I have also tried sending select, enter, and any other simiar REMOTE command to the ST2. It doesn't recognize any of them.

Workaround:
Right now I have a macro running that sends the SetFreq command to the ST2 followed by an Enter via the Remote command to the keypad of the currently active zone. This gets everything back to tuning very quickly but it is a little messy.

A better (In my humble, amateur, opinion)
1) SatRadio sending the request as three digits
2) The ability to send the ST2 an "Ok" command directly.

I've tested the second and it works great with the ST2 remote. If I send the channel from MLServer and then use the ST2's remote to send the "Ok" directly to the ST2 it tunes immediately. OK doesn't appear in the current REMOTE command list. I've tried entering OK manually and it doesn't work.

All of that said....it works. Thanks very much!

Is there a way to get messaging to the keypads working? "AV|1~Message~All~Text to display" doesn't seem to work with the current model MDK-C5/C6 keypads.

The goal is to get the music track info to the keypads like I had working on the old CAV6.6.

I have everything updated but a few minor issues:

1) Any chance of a power status variable for the ST2 tuners?
2) Scan doesn't seem to work for AM/FM
3) Seek doesn't seem to work for AM/FM
4) Lack of leading zero padding for channel causes ST2 XM to tune slowly.

Dave-Two questions ( I have 3 cav6.6 connected thru rnet)
What would make the keypads get out of sync with the driver? During testing of macros i noticed the keypresses werent processing correctly. The log shows the parameters, namely the <P2> zone passing incorrectly. The server variables are correct and are responding normally but when a key is pressed on zone 2 controller it passes a zone 1. If I press source button the source on zone 2 is updated and the variables change accordingly but <P2> is passed as a 1. Is there a reset command?

Would it be much of a problem to allow the server commands to also call the macro function like the keypad does? AV|CID~Keypad~ZID~Next call russound.Keypad.next like the hard buttons. I have several soft zones that dont actually have keypads connected but use the program to control.

Thanks Randy
